With an ageing population, one of the fastest growing issues we have with regard to disability and employment is the number of employees aquiring a disability during their employment.
It’s vital that employers get a greater understanding of how disability can affect an individual in their work, and what simple things can be done to improve wellbeing and ultimately rentention of their employment.
Not all employees will self-identify as having a disability and will often ‘soldier on’, further affecting their health, rather than looking for a solution which might enable them to work in a healthier way.
